Elizabeth Jane (Jarvis) Hutzell "Betty"

Hutzell: Elizabeth “Betty” Jane, 94, Hollsopple (Benson Borough), died February 12, 2018 at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg.  Born August 27, 1923 in Hollsopple, daughter of James Jarvis, Sr. and Edna (Brilhart) Jarvis.  Preceded in death by parents, husband Clyde Hutzell who died in 1985, brothers William, James Jr, Thomas, and Robert.  Survived by sons, Clyde Grant, married to Patricia Speigle, Davidsville and Timothy Lynn married to Donna Shankweiler, Hollsopple.  Also survived by grandchildren Lisa Hutzell, Davidsville, Valerie Hutzell, married to Scott Smith, Davidsville, Chad Hutzell, Holly Hutzell, married to Benjamin Hastings, North Carolina. Great-grandchildren Manning and Maitlyn Smith, Caylee and Alexander Hastings. Step-grandchildren Morgan and Madison Smith, Marcie, Scott and Alan (Jamie) Shankweiler. Step-great-grandchildren, Courtney, Jermey, Devon, Alexis, and Zachary.  Step-great-great-grandchild Raelyn.  Survived by sister Esther Boyer, Johnstown and sister Catherine Rohde and husband Fred.  Sisters-in-law Betty (Rullo) widow of James Jarvis Jr, Twila (Wentz) widow of Thomas Jarvis.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Graduate of Conemaugh Township High School.  She was the Benson Borough Tax Collector for 38 years from 1963-2001.  She was the loving caregiver of her husband, mother, and brother.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.  Family and friends will be received Thursday from 6-8 P.M. at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville where funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. Friday.  Interment Custer Cemetery.
