Adams: George M. Jr, 89, of Davidsville died October 12, 2016 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital.  He was born February 14, 1927 in Windber, the son of George M. and Mary Catherine (Ward) Adams.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice Mae (Pickerill) Adams, who died November 25, 2000, son George (Butch) M. Adams III, grandson Daniel Adams and two brothers and five sisters.  He is survived by his children Richard and wife Mary Beth (Kane) Adams, Erie; Kathie and husband David Dudek, Hampton, VA; Robert and wife Laurie (Schnabel) Adams, Greensburg; and daughter-in-law Connie (Michaels) Adams, Davidsville.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Eric, Jennifer, George, Kim, Lauren, Luke, Matthew, Michael, and David, and seven great-grandchildren.  George was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Anne Catholic Church. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.  He retired from Labor Union Local 910 where he was a member for 66 years and also served on the board. George was most happy when he was building something.  Everyone who knew George knew he was a tireless worker and volunteer. He will be greatly missed. The family is receiving friends from 5 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville where the vigil will be held.  Funeral Mass will be held 9 A.M. Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church Davidsville with Father John Voytek OFM Conv.
