Irene B. (Rzasa) Kordell

Kordell: Irene B. “Toots”, 90 of Johnstown, Somerset County, died peacefully April 13, 2018 at home. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.   Born October 13, 1927 in Johnstown the daughter of Valenty “Valentine” and Magdaline (Sikora) Rzasa.  Preceded in death by parents, husband Joseph G. Kordell who died February 10, 2001, grandson Travis Golesich, and these siblings Francis, Edward, Leonard, and John Rzasa, and Helen Dropko, Alice Picklo, and Delores Komar.  Survived by children Monica (Kordell) married to Kevin Smith, New Florence; Daria Kordell and fiancée Dr. George Gress, Johnstown; Damiam married to Cindi, Indiana; and Blaise married to Kim, Brush Valley.  Loving grandmother of Brock, Annalise, Marc, Adam, Ciara, and Tia, and Great Grandmother of Sylvia, Brodrick, Zeek, Owen, Willow, Kayla, and Cecelia.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.  She enjoyed Crocheting, all things nature, astronomy, and word search books.  She loved her family and lived her life for them.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville where Vigil for the Deceased will be held at.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 A.M. Wednesday at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church with Father Angelo Patti Celebrant.
