Smakula: John Michael, Jr. “Smacks” 60, of Hollsopple died December 25, 2017 at home.  Born August 31, 1957 in Johnstown the son of the late John M. and Mildred J. (Struba) Smakula, Sr.  Survived by sisters Joanne married to Ron Blough and Linda married to Gary Carney, and brother David Smakula.  Also survived by nephews Michael Blough and David married to Emily Blough, and great niece and nephew Ella and Ethan Blough.   Smacks is also survived by Uncle Smoke and Aunt Kush Smakula and Aunt Anna Mae Struba. Smacks will be missed by his special friends Scotty Desort and “Chippy” and numerous other friends and relatives.  Member of St. Anne Catholic Church.  He was employed at Lockheed Martin Corp.  Smacks was a member of numerous sportsmans and other clubs and he enjoyed being with his friends at the Hollsopple VFW.  The family asks please no food donations just prayers.  No viewing at Smack’s request family and friends will be received from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. with a service at 6 P.M. Thursday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home. Inc. in Davidsville Father John Voytek O.F.M. Conv. Officiating.  Family asks donations be made to a charity of your choice in Smack’s memory.
