Sanders: Leo Q. was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Billow) for 67 years.  He died at home on November 13, 2016 at the age of 96.  Devoted father of Sandra (David) Prell, David (Nancy) Sanders, and Kevin (Rupa Mokkapatti) Sanders, Lee is the dear brother of Coletta Wilt, and loving uncle of Special niece, Kathleen Campbell, Leo was preceded in death by sister Carrie Campbell and brother, Donald.  He is survived by grandchildren, Rachel Mays, Matthew Sanders, Stephanie Sanders, and great grandchildren Avery and Ashlyn Mays.  Leo was a 1938 graduate of Johnstown High School, and the US Army Air Corps Cadet Program.  Leo was a US Air Force Veteran of WWII, serving as a pilot and flight instructor.  He continued in the Air Force Reserves for a time, separating with the rank of Captain and was a flight instructor and private pilot for many years at Salix Airport and Greater Johnstown-Cambria County Airport.  He participated in the first air race ever held in Johnstown.  Leo was retired from the US Postal Service.  The family wishes to thank his nurses from Asera Care for their compassionate and excellent care, particularly Tammy Miller, Dionne Persio, and Mary Jo Holsopple, Mary Ann Ramieres, Heather Layton, Billie Pollina, Nikki Aashton-Albert, and Erica Erdley.  Services are private for the family only.  To leave condolences for the family please visit www.georgemasonfuneralhome.com.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Asera Care Hospice, 100 CTC Suite 110 Johnstown, PA 15904
