Kropfl, Margaret (Peg) L, 89, passed away peacefully at Windber Hospice on Sunday, January 1st, 2017 with her family by her side. Peg was born May 31st, 1927 in Altoona, PA, the daughter of Harold Leap and Marie (MacIntosh) Leap. Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Herbert A. Kropfl and her son, David B. Kropfl. Peg graduated from Altoona Catholic High School. She attended Business College prior to working for Bell Telephone. Once married, with children, Peg was a lifelong homemaker. She was an avid Bridge player for most of her life--ladies groups, couples, and neighborhood. She enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years. Peg was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church for over 25 years, and most recently St. Anne's Catholic Church in Davidsville. Most importantly, Peg was a diehard and dedicated Penn State football fan with season tickets to all the home events. She traveled all over the country with her husband, Herb, and their beloved "Farquel Family" fan club to enjoy the games. In recent years she continued to plan her days around watching Penn state sports events. Peg is survived by her children Sue (Randy) Stewart of Altamont, NY; Debbie (Chris) Glancy of Greensburg, PA; Jeff (Judy) Kropfl of Newburgh, IN. Also survived by grandchildren Jeremy & Tyler Stewart; Daniel, Emily & Gabby Kropfl; daughter in law Kim Kropfl of Latrobe, PA. A Mass of celebration will be held at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Johnstown, PA at 10AM on Wednesday, January 4th with Father Dave Peles officiating committal immediately following at St. John's Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Windber Hospice. The family would like to thank the many wonderful caregivers who helped Peg in these last years. Most importantly the staff at Laurel View Village and Windber Hospice (both Home Care & the Inn). A special thank you to Jann Molchenbaugh & Melanie Meier from Hospice who cared for Peg with the greatest care. Arrangements by George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville,
