Plack: David E. “Elmer”, 70 of Hollsopple died June 4, 2018 at home. Born December 3, 1947 in Johnstown the son of Elmer J. and Juliet L. (Voughtly) Plack. Preceded in death by parents. Survived and dearly loved by wife of 45 years the former Karen Mae Blough and these children Christopher David, Vanessa Ilene married to Duwayne Alan Orris, and Adrian David married to Angela Plack, Valerie Irene Plack. Also survived by grandchildren Shaelan Amelia Mae, Seneca Grace Marie, Serenity Allaina Irene, Matthias Jacob Dalton, Isabella Josephine Ilene, and Xavier Samuel David Orris, and Lucian Alexander John and Garrett Eric Plack. Brother of Arlene Seaschultz, Lawrence Plack, and Richard Plack. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. David was a US Marine Veteran Lance Corporal (E3) Rifleman with an Honorable Discharge who earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnamese Service Medal, the Vietnamese Campaign Medal and the Rifle Marksman Medal. David had an appreciation for nature and enjoyed taking rides through the country during autumn with his parents to see the changing colors of the trees. Incidentally, and unbeknownst to him, the route they traveled took them past the home of his future wife. In the winter season, he enjoyed looking at lights in town, and found joy in watching his loved ones open gifts from him. David loved reading and was highly skilled at calculating multiple large numbers in his head with speed and accuracy. One of his favorite things to do was watch television and play video games with his son. His grandchildren called him “Grandpa Huggs” No viewing, family will receive friends 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. Saturday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville with interment at Kaufman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family asks donations be made to them to help with expenses.
