Shuman: Elizabeth Mae "Betty", 97 of Arbutus Park Manor died January 9, 2018 at the Manor.  Born March 4, 1920 in Johnstown the daughter of Stanton L. and Edith (Sanderson) Bash.  Preceded in death by parents and husband George W. Shuman, Jr. who died October 9, 1998.  Survived by children Susan Kathryn and George and wife Janet.  Also survived by grandchildren Melissa Marie and Daniel Wayne, and 4 great grandchildren.  Half-sister of Bonnie Bash and Donald Bash.  Member of First United Methodist Church.  Betty graduated from Cambria Rowe Business College.  She retired from Conemaugh Township Elementary School as Secretary.  The family wishes to thank Asera Care Hospice for the loving care to Betty.  No viewing at Betty’s request family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service 1:30 Friday at Arbutus Park Manor Chapel.  In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local Humane Society.
