Brant: Mildred G. “Gevie”, 92 of Hooversville died May 3, 2018 at Windber Woods Sr. Living and Rehab Center. Born November 17, 1925 in Hooversville the daughter of David and Rella (Buchanan) Lohr. Preceded in death by parents, husband Royden “Glenn” Brant who died June 13, 1977, daughter Glenda R. Shaulis, Sister Zella Naugle, and brothers Dayton, Gerald, Fred, Kenneth, and Morris. Survived by children Barbara J. Eicher, Janet E. married to Daniel Vatavuk, and Randy Glenn married to Kathy L. Brant. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Sister of Janet Gindlesperger, Jean Thomas, and Jerry Lohr. She was a life-long faithful member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church. Gevie accompanied her pastors, her uncle the Rev. M. Dean Shaffer and the Rev. Gerald L. Myers on many of their travels for the Lord. She was a member of the Hooversville Historical Society and also the Hooversville Community Fellowship. She loved quilting, picking blueberries, playing softball and watching her Pittsburgh Pirates. Family will receive friends from 2-8 P.M. Sunday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville and from 10 A.M. until time of Funeral Services at 11 A.M. Monday at the St. Thomas Lutheran Church. Pastor Nila Cogan officiating. Interment St. Thomas Lutheran Church Cemetery. Family asks donations be made to the St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Gevie’s name.
