Temyer: Peter P., 74, Hollsopple, passed away peacefully early Christmas morning, December 25, 2017. Born April 4, 1943 in Johnstown the son of Peter, P. and Anna L. (Lebda) Temyer, Sr. Pete is survived by his sister Patricia, wife of John Nemeth, Nephew Shawn Nemeth and fiancée Susan Krents. Pete was a lifelong resident of Pretoria/Hollsopple. Pete graduated from Conemaugh Township High School, Davidsville in 1961. He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard 876th Maintenance Battalion. Pete was an avid hunter and was a member of the Hollsopple Sportsman’s Club, along with his father. He was an expert with rifle as well as bow and arrow. He would just smile when he showed his “Robin Hood arrow shot.” Pete worked as a welder for the Berwind Railway Service in Windber and Hollidaysburg and Bethlehem Steel Corporation. Patty says Pete was known as a quiet man of few words. He took special care of our parents during their declining years. But, he was also a prankster affectionately or not dubbed by our cousins as “Sneaky Pete.” He was known for setting silly “booby traps” or sneaking up on you with some bird call or moose call and lets not forget the deer looking out the garage door window. Pete was a lifelong member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Davidsville. At Pete’s request there will be no viewing. Family and friends will be received from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. Thursday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville Father John Voytek O.F.M. Conv. officiating.. A special thanks is extended to all Pete’s caregivers at Quality Life Services at Westmont Woods. In lieu of flowers please offer a prayer or make a donation to a charity of your choice.
