Sgt. Nicholas Adam Horner

Sgt. Nicholas Adam Horner, 39 of Johnstown passed away August 24, 2019. Born June 10, 1980, Son of Daniel and Karen Horner.  Proceeded in death: Grandparents Henry and Mary Horner and Grandfather Andy Rygel.  Survived by Children Kiara and Ian Horner, Parents, Sister Danielle Horner (Timothy and Alex), Sister Dawn (James) Johnson, and Favorite niece Aleka. Grandmother Masie (Bubba) Rygel, and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Nick dedicated his life to the service and his country, served 3 tours in Iraq. Above all else he loved his children, enjoyed music, snowboarding and spending time with family and friends. He had the biggest, sweetest heart. As his dearest friend Jeff said, “some birds weren’t meant to be caged.” He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends and family will be received Thursday from 2 to 8 pm at George Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville with a service Friday at 11 am.
