Also survived by nieces and nephews Kara, Melanie, Denny, Sara, Ann, Danielle, Adam, Ross, Teddi, Kristi, Melissa, Jolene, and many great nieces and nephews. Sherrie's beloved pet dog Bear will miss her greatly. She was a social worker with Ascera Care Hospice and then United Mine Workers Union until her diagnosis. She loved the beach and looked forward to her two yearly trips with family and friends. She especially enjoyed the beach time with her sister Jill and her family. Her time spent with best friends,-- Leslie Schrader, Patti Papcun, Becky Kozich, Sherry Greene (aka Krisch) Suni Miller, Barb Doyka, and Marsha Springer-- aka "The BUNCO Girls" was great enjoyment to her. They all have been her very best friends for many years and were truly more like family. Mom loved helping people and touched a multitude throughout her life. A very special thanks goes to Patti Papcun and Sherrie's sister Becky for being there daily and taking care of her every need until the end. Our dad, Bob, has been by her side 24/7 throughout it all. Mom said daily she didn't know what she would do without him. We will always remember our Mom as a moral, honest, loving and caring person. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 PM Sunday April 29 at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville where funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, April 30. In lieu of flowers family asks donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
