Anna Smear Ditko Obituary

Ditko: Anna M. Smear (Belskey) 98, of Davidsville died May 16, 2018 at Laurel View Village.  Born August 17, 1919 in Jerome the daughter of William and Susanna (Wojtach) Belskey.  Preceded in death by parents, first husband Stephen J. Smear, second husband Peter Ditko, infant son Gerald, daughter Nancy Vozniak, and brothers Frank and Anthony Belskey. Survived by children Mary Ann (Steve) Sepety and Stephen J. (Diana) Smear.  Also survived by grandchildren Lynn Ann, Stephen J, Jacqueline, Michelle, Matthew, Maria, Christopher, and Amanda, and great grandchildren Jacob, Nate, Joseph, Sara, Elena, Liliana, Clara, Kevin, and Andrew.  Anna was the last of her immediate family.  She retired after years as the proprietor of The Old Tollgate Inn in Benscreek.  She was an active volunteer at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister.  The family would like to thank the staff in the Health Care Unit of Laurel View Village for their abundant kindness, care and concern they provided for our dear mother Anna.  Family will receive friends from 4-6 Friday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville where Vigil for the Deceased will be held.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Saturday at St. Andrews Catholic Church.  Father Angelo Patti Celebrant.  Committal Grandview Cemetery.  Family asks donations be sent to Laurel View Village in Anna’s memory.
