Audrey (Bassett) Klink-Winters

Ninety-four and a half years ago an angel came to walk upon the earth.  Strong in faith and love for God, Strong in love and caring for friends and family. Her warmth and love touched all those she knew. Now she has departed, leaving a hole filled only with memories. We shall miss her deeply. Audrey Winters, age 94, went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2020. She was a resident of SpiriTrust Lutheran Home in Gettysburg, PA; formerly of Somerset, PA. Audrey was born May 2, 1926. She was a graduate of Garrett High School; class of 1943. She spent her life as a homemaker where she was a dedicated wife, daughter, mother and grandmother. She was active in her church: Somerset First United Methodist Church. Audrey is survived by her sister Ilean Bittner of Dover, NH. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Elwood Klink and Earl Edwin Winters, her parents Albert and Ellen Bassett, her sisters Nancy Payne and Corrine Bassett, and her brothers Jack and Robert Bassett, Daughter-in-Law Vicky (Zablotney) Klink. She is survived by her sons: Larry Klink and spouse Donna (Ellis) of Orangevale, CA, Jack Winters and wife Carol (Traup) of Hollsopple, PA, and Roger Klink and spouse Katie (Narad) of Blue Ridge Summit, PA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren: Brian and Rachel Klink and Daughter Emily of Chambersburg, PA. Mark and Sarah Klink and children Ethan and Alyson of Waynesboro, PA. Doug and Lisa Klink and children Adin, Zane and Paela of Bellevue, WA, Brad and Sarah Klink and daughter Abigail of Marietta, GA, Erika and Jeff Rowe and children Kyla and Brycen, Bethany and Paul Newman and children Forrest and Leo of Johnstown, PA and Jaclyn and Dan Miller and son Isaac of Meyersdale, PA. There will be a private graveside service for immediate family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held when conditions permit. Donations to Somerset First United Methodist Church, 149 W Patriot St, Somerset, PA 15501, or SpiriTrust Lutheran, 1075 Old Harrisburg Road | Gettysburg, PA 1732,5 is preferred.
