Nail, Austin James: 19, Conemaugh Township, went to be with the lord on November 17th, 2019 following a lifelong battle with Juvenile Battens Disease. Born on August 10, 2000 in Johnstown. Son of Ronald W. and Candi (Shaffer) Nail both of Johnstown. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents Daniel and Bernice Phillips. Survived by loving siblings Alyssa and Isaac Nail; maternal grandparents Walter and Cheryl (Moyer) Shaffer; numerous Uncles, Aunts and cousins; and a team of loving nurses and aides from Bayada Pediatrics. Austin was a 2019 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. He had the kind of energy that with just one encounter, you would remember him for an eternity. Austin was joyful with the most contagious laugh and smile. He loved and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers and WWE wrestling especially in the company of his family and friends. He could always be seen with a football and a John Cena wrestler. Austin will always be remembered for his smile and the love that he brought into other people's lives. Family and friends will be received at George E. Mason Funeral Home in Davidsville, Pa on Thursday November 21st from 2pm to 8pm, and an 11 o'clock service on Friday, November 22nd with Pastor Wes Yoder followed by a luncheon. In honor of Austin, his family is asking for everyone to wear blue, as this was Austin’s favorite color.
