Bertha M. Hockins

Hockins: Bertha M. 94 of Johnstown died November 15, 2018 at Laurel Wood Care Center.  Born April 28, 1924 in Johnstown the daughter of James and Catherine (Smidth) Lape.  Preceded in death by parents, husband Frederick T. Hockins who died March 28, 2006, Son James, Daughter-In-Law Carol, 2 sisters 1 brother, and 2 greatgrandchildren.  Survived by children Thomas and wife Llanga, Gloria and husband Gary Prakope, William, and Daughter-In-Law Nancy.  Also survived by 16 grandchildren and numerous great and great-greatgrandchildren.  Bertha was retired from Waltrich Plastic in New Jersey. She enjoyed crafts; painting, crocheting, and knitting.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 Monday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville where funeral service will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday.  Pastors Brian Simmons officiating.  Interment Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
