Oaks: Betty Jane, 85 of Hollsopple died August 19, 2024, at Richland Health and Rehabilitation. Born December 1, 1938, in Hollsopple the daughter of Harold C. and Mary E. (Berkey) Thomas. Preceded in death by parents, husband Terry Oaks, and sisters Delores Thomas and Judy Blair. Survived by sister Stella “Dollie” Andrews, “Adopted Sister” Barbara Codobano, and Sister-In-Law Pauline Oaks. Betty is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and their families and significant other Jim Payne. Betty was a faithful member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Hollsopple where she served in many capacities. She belonged to the Hollsopple Sportsman’s Club. Betty had retired with 42 years from Conemaugh Hospital starting as a candy striper. Family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until time of Funeral Service at 11:30 A.M. at Bethel United Methodist Church in Hollsopple with Pastor Sarah Adkins officiating. Internment Custer Cemetery. Betty asks donations be made in her memory to the Bethel United Methodist Church Hollsopple, PA. George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville is serving the family.
