Christopher Plack Obituary

Plack: Christopher David, 49 of Hollsopple died May 19, 2026, at home with his family.  Born January 9, 1977, in Johnstown the son of David E. and Karen Mae (Blough) Plack.  Preceded in death by father. Survived by his mother and these siblings, Vanessa married to Duwayne Orris, Adrian married to Shoshana Plack, and Valerie Plack.  Also survived by his loving nieces and nephews Shaelan and husband Andrew, Seneca and husband Alex, Serenity and husband Patrick, Matthias, Isabella, Xavier, Lucian, Garrett, and Cassian. He is also survived by his great nephew Titus Christopher and his future great niece or nephew.    Those who knew Christopher know that he was an avid comic book collector and lover of movies, and also that he was a man who was dedicated to his family. In fact, he found immense joy in spending time with each of his many nieces and nephews, and he was a loving and protective son and sibling. He was an exceptional worker and was the kind of man who never asked for anything, but who was so quick to help others, always doing way more than was asked of or expected from him. That is the same way he approached his cancer – fighting bravely and courageously against the disease that eventually took his ability to walk and then took his life – and he did that for more than 2 years without complaint. He was always so gracious toward every nurse and doctor despite the quality of care given, and regardless of the severity of his suffering. On Mother's Day, he adamantly affirmed his belief in Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Today, Chris has joy instead of sorrow, and he is more alive now than he has ever been! Family will receive friends Friday from 11 A.M. until time of Funeral Service at Noon at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville.  Interment Kaufman Cemetery.
