Parlock: Colleen I “Coke” fell asleep in the Lord on August 2, 2023, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital due to unexpected complications during surgery. She was born on February 10, 1930, in Johnstown, the daughter of Lloyd and Vista (Shaffer) Meyers. Preceded in death by parents, husband Paul P. and sisters Genevie Slovich and Shirley Degory. Survived by children Philip, (former daughter-in-law Elizabeth), Paul II (Jodi), Paulette, and Patrick (Bruna). Loving grandma of Paul III, Jessica-ca, Pamela (Tom), Philip II (Annie), Hannah (Ryan), Peter (Talietha), Louis, Mary Alexis, Rachel (Nathan), Alex (Sarah), Daniel (Hannah), Victoria (Zach), Amos (Heidi), Jeremiah, Sophia, and Jack. Loving Ggma to Lily, Aria, Aubrey, Piper, Peyton, Harmony, Peyton Paul, Brady, Carter, Benji, Madelyn, Jonah, Preston, Lydia, Aiden, Lona, Amos II, and Anastasia. Sister to Ronald (Frances), Lloyd (Dianne), sister Lorrie Manges and former sister-in-law Barbara. Colleen is survived by special friends Louise Brudnak, Juan “Juanito”, and Martha Trevarrow and many nieces and nephews. Member of Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Jerome, PA. She graduated from Conemaugh Township High School in 1947. She was a 1954 graduate of Conemaugh Valley School of Nursing and retired from Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Colleen enjoyed going to the YWCA and was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed doing jumble and crossword puzzles. Colleen loved to try new recipes on the family. Some of her favorites were Puppy Tantorno’s meatballs, BBQ ribs, and Broccoli cheese casserole. Family will receive friends 2-8 P.M. Friday August 4th at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville where Parastas for the deceased will be held at 7:00 P.M. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held11:30 A.M. Saturday August 5th at Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Jerome. Committal Custer Cemetery.
