Dennis Jerome Bloom

Bloom: Dennis Jerome, 68 of Johnstown, Somerset County died June 27, 2025, at home.  Born March 9, 1957, in Somerset, the son of Ralph Merle, Jr and Elaine Fay (Manges) Bloom.  Preceded in death by parents, wife Joyce Bloom and brother Bruce Merle Bloom.  Survived by daughter Sarah, and sisters Linda (married to James Greble), and Donna Coughenour.  Dennis is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  He was an avid reader and book collector, and had an amazing recall of facts on many subjects. He also enjoyed fishing.  Dennis worked in several hospitals as an X-Ray technician.  There will be no viewing or services.  Family asks that donations be made to the Doctors Without Borders charity:  http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/  Arrangements entrusted to the George E.
