Haynes: Diana C. (Blough), 81, died May 19, 2022, after a courageous 5-year battle with cancer. Born January 24, 1941, to Emerson and Clara (Massimo) Blough. Diana was preceded in death by parents; parents-in-law, Paul and Helen (Kocher) Haynes; husband Robert G. Haynes (53 years married). She is survived by daughters Carol Annette Haynes, Tire Hill; Lisa M. Poorbaugh and son-in-law Timothy, Connellsville; sister-in-law Carol (Jesus) Macias, CA; niece Cynthia (Greg) Meidroth, sons Chase and Connor; nephew Brian (Danielle) Macias, LA. Always a hard worker, after graduating from Conemaugh Township High School and attending IUP for a semester to study art, Diana decided to return full time to the workforce, something she had been a part of since her first job at age thirteen, working various jobs and finally retiring after 38 years as a seamstress at Bestform Foundations. Diana had an inquisitive nature and a variety of interests, a few of them including drawing, painting, writing, and reading. After retirement she became a self-taught knitter. Multi-talented and always resourceful, she was gifted at whatever she did. Diana was quick to share her kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity, and sense of humor with those she encountered. A member of Tire Hill Covenant Brethren Church. Diana was a devoted Christian woman with a strong faith and love for God. No words can express how deeply her family loved her and how much she will be missed. Per her request, private interment only for immediate family at Grandview Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations in Diana’s memory may be sent to Tire Hill Church of the Brethren, St. Vincent DePaul Family Kitchen, or St. Francis Sharing and Caring. Arrangements by George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc.
