Dorcas Laverne (Speigle) Greene

Dorcas Laverne Greene, age 74, of Hollsopple, PA went to be with the Lord on February 05, 2024 while surrounded by family. She graduated from Johnstown Mennonite School, and Pittsburgh Institute of Computer Management.  She was a member of Carpenter Park Church where she regularly shared her love of creating flower arrangements with the congregation.  She worked at Shoppe 2, Moxham Bank, and MetLife.  She loved her family, her cat Misty, gardening, baking, making stained glass pieces, hosting family gatherings, and having lunch with the ladies. She was full of kindness, compassion, and always put other’s needs before hers.   She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Laverne Speigle and her sister Pauline Kauffman. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John Greene; sister’s Lois Spory and Betty Rish; brother-in-law Lowell Kauffman; her daughter Lori Denault and husband Benoit along with their children Nathaniel, Maya, Eden, Lucas, and Chase; her daughter Ashley Armstrong and husband Dennis along with their children Emily, Justin, and Megan Armstrong.  Dorcas cared deeply for all her family, but especially cherished her eight grandchildren. A celebration of life service for friends and family will be held at 4 PM on Saturday February 10, 2024 at Carpenter Park Church, Davidsville, PA.
