Dorothy F. (Freeburn) Hansen

Hansen: Dorothy F., 93 of Laurel View Village died October 14, 2020 at Laurel View.  Born October 21, 1926 in Altoona the daughter of Dr. Harold E. and Lucille (Gatts) Freeburn.  Preceded in death by parents, stepmother France (Burger) Freeburn, husband Karl W. Hansen, Sr. who died October 23, 2006, sisters Lucille Boland and Faye Sigg, and brother Ronald Freeburn.  Survived by son Karl W.  and wife Debra Hillegas Hansen.  Also survived by granddaughter Diana C. Hansen and husband Eric Kiker.  Sister of Dr. Harold E. Freeburn (Pamela), Donald Freeburn (Kathryn), Kenneth (Susan), Barry (Eugenia), Beverly Mackel, and Barbara (James) Facci.  Dorothy was a member of Moxham Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir.  She also sang I the Laurel View Village Choir.  She was a graduate of Johnstown High School and had attended the Cambria Rowe Business College.  She was formerly employed as an Assistant Librarian at Highland Community Library.  No viewing at her request.  A graveside service will be held later at Grandview Cemetery.  Family asks donations in her name be made to Moxham Lutheran Church.
