Eileen Holsopple Obituary

Holsopple: Eileen L.  “Bubba” 92 of Blough died April 12, 2025, at home surrounded by her family.  Born July 4, 1932, in Jazza Hill the daughter of Albert and Mary (Holsopple) Marshall.  The last surviving member of her family, she is preceded in death by her parents; husband Leslie Holsopple who died February 26,1971, and these siblings, Hazel Wagner, Harry Marshall, Leone Ringler, Alvin Marshall, and Doris Mishler.  She is survived by her loving children, Leslie K. “Her Smartest” married to Joani, Kevin “Her Favorite”, Mary Kay “Twisted Sister 1”, Karen “Twisted Sister 2” married to Mark Brewer, and Vaughn “Her Baby”.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, whom she was very proud of: Tina (Scott), James (Brianna), Leslie Jay (Mary Jo), Timothy, Eric (Karen), Nathan (Kyle), Holly (Kellar), and Tyler (Anshul).  Her greatest legacy are her great grandchildren, Lainie, Lauren, Connor, Braden, Ethan, Abby, Adie, Edward, Millie, and Regan.  Eileen is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families, Brothers-in-law Ronald, Wayne, and Alan, and Sister-In-Law Shirley Allen and “adopted” grandchildren Kayla (Mahlon) and their children Lucie, Eli, and Caycen, and MANY other friends.  She was a life member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she was active over the years in Choir, as a Sunday School Teacher, and on many committees.  She was a proud 1950 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School.  She was also a former Hollsopple Fire Hall Ladies Auxiliary member for many years, where she worked many fish fries and breakfasts with Santa and Easter Bunny.    She was also a Charter member of the Holsopple Historical Society and a member of the Eastern Star.  Eileen loved to go camping with her entire family at the “Rocks” in Bedford and then “Oz”, where tubing and campfire time was always a treat.  She loved when all her friends and family would come and visit and always had a pot of coffee waiting.  Bubba loved to cook in her old army cook pot ham potpie or vegetable soup enough for an army and can bushels of tomatoes for her famous “Bubba Sauce”.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Monday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville and from 10 A.M. until time of Funeral at 11 A.M Tuesday at Bethel United Methodist Church in Hollsopple with Pastor Sarah Adkins officiating.  Interment will be in Custer Cemetery with all her family and loved ones.  Those who wish can make donations in her memory to Bethel United Methodist Church or Camp PARC in her memory.  We her family want to say Tag God your It!
