Eugene S. Spangler

Spangler, Eugene S. age 101 of Davidsville went to join his love Josephine on June 13, 2026.  Born May 27, 1925, in Hollsopple, the son of Luther “Fat” and Mabel (Shoff) Spangler.  Preceded in death by parents, loving wife Josephine (DiMauro) Spangler, infant Sister Joan, and brother Bill.  He was the loving father of Linda, and Gene.  He was also the loving Grandpa of 3 grandchildren and “Poppy” to 5 great grandchildren.  He was a dedicated and faithful member of St. David’s Lutheran Church.  Gene was a 1943 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School and a 1945 graduate of University of Pittsburgh in Mechanical Engineering.  Gene was a proud WWII AirForce Veteran where he served as a Pilot.  No viewing at his request.  A memorial service will be held on July 18, 2026 at 2 PM. at Laurel View Village Chapel.  The family asks donations be sent to Laurel View Village Caring Fund, 2000 Cambridge Drive, Davidsville, PA 15928.  Arrangements by the George E.
