Obituary

Honkus: Frank John Jr., 77 of Hooversville died April 11, 2023, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital.  Born November 24, 1945, in Johnstown the son of Frank John, Sr, and Helen (Czarlinsky) Honkus.  Preceded in death by parents.  Survived by wife of 52 years the former Lucille R. LoPresti Honkus and sons Anthony R. and Frank J. III and wife Barbara.  Loving grandfather of Richie.  Brother of Michael J. and Cindy married to Jerry Ledney.  He is also survived by nephew Brad Honkus (Mary Beth Wojtaszek)  Frank was a member of St. Clements Catholic Church where he was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member.  He was their Grand Knight and also the District Deputy for the Knights.  Frank was also a member of Alhambra.  He had a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida.  He was an avid member of the Johnstown Photography Club.  Frank was the owner and operator of Honkus Enterprise.  He was honorably discharged from the United States Coast Guard.  No viewing at his request.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 A.M. Friday at St. Clements Catholic Church with Father Rosembaum Celebrant.  Arrangements are being handled by the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville
