George Charles Griffin

Griffin: George Charles 55, Johnstown went to be with the Lord October 12, 2021 at McGee Hospital in Pittsburgh.  Born March 19, 1966 the son of Telford and Sondra (Varner) Griffin.  Preceded in death by father and sister Brenda.  Survived by his loving wife Veronica (Bostian) Griffin, and his sons Mark Griffin (Chelsey Stefan), Sean, Ryan (Katie Kolarik) Griffin, and Adam.  Loving Grandfather of Malachi, Abigail, Spencer, and Madison to arrive in February, and mother Sondra married to Ralph Blair.  Brother of Eric (Wendy Strait) Griffin.  George attended the Life Church in Windber. He was a 1984 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School after attending Johnstown Christian School.  George proudly served his country as a Military Police for 10 years in active duty in the United States Army and National Guard.  He retired as Captain from the State Department of Corrections SCI Somerset.  George Lived to put God first and walked his life accordingly.  He loved and cherished his family, who will treasure that forever!  Family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until time of service at 11:30 A.M. Saturday at Life Church 107 Bantley Place Windber, PA with Pastor Rick Smith officiating.  Military graveside services by Somerset County Honor Guard at Maple Spring Cemetery.  Arrangements by George E.
