Newcomer: Herman Benjamin “Ben” 89 of Hollsopple was called home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2019. Born August 13, 1929 in Oliver, PA the son of John and Elsie (Dull) Newcomer. Preceded in death by parents, wife Alverda Mae “Abbie” (Coughenour) Newcomer, and 5 siblings. Survived by children Kathi, Pam, Brian and Gary. Ben is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 6 siblings. He was a faithful member of Centennial United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school and was a Lay Leader. Ben was an Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a retired Bethlehem Steel worker where he worked in many of the shops. Ben was devoted to God, his family, and his friends; he set an example and touched the lives of everyone he met. Family will receive friends Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of funeral service at 11 A.M. at Centennial United Methodist Church. Pastor Dave Bowman officiating. Interment Lambertville Cemetery.
