Howard Fred Petree "Skip"

Petree: Howard Fred “Skip” 71 of Hooversville died March 29, 2022 at home with his family.  Born December 4, 1950 in Johnstown the son of George William and Elizabeth (Jones) Petree.  Preceded in death by parents, son Scott, sister-in-law Mary Petree, and brothers-in-law Roy “Butch” Weaver and Fred Lohr.  Survived by wife of 50 years Susan (Weaver) and children Stacy Petree and fiancée Scott Penrod, and Shawn and wife Jennifer Petree.  Loving grandfather of Brittani and fiancée Gage, Brody and wife Shelby, Sara, Jakob, and Zack and great grandson on the way.  Brother of Charlotte, Bud, Dave and wife Kathy, Larry and wife Karen, Tim, and Mark and wife Brenda.  He is also survived by mother-in-law Georgiana Seese, sisters-in-law Deb and husband Irv Hunter, and Pam Borischak, and many nieces and nephews.  Howard was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church.  He was a member of the Army Reserves. He was a coal miner with 33 years’ service.  Skip loved watching his Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Nascar.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman who loved all his pets and animals.  Skip loved spending time with his wife, kids, grandkids, and family.  Family will receive friends from 2 till 7 P.M. Friday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville and from 10 A.M. until time of funeral at 11 A.M. Saturday at St. Thomas Lutheran Church with Pastor Nila Cogan officiating.  Interment St. Thomas Cemetery.
