Jones: Jack D., 70 of Johnstown died August 26, 2022 at home with his family. Born August 11, 1952 in Windber the son of Mervin Jones, Sr. and Stella “Dolly” Andrews. Preceded in death by father and son Richard Jones. Survived by wife Sharon (Kuzma) Jones, Mother, son Jack Jones, Jr. and wife Kelly, granddaughter Amanda Jones, and great grandson Greyson Dunnivan. Jack was the brother of Rodney (Jean) Jones, Robert (Ondrea) Jones, Brian (Joann) Jones, Mervin Jr (Barb) Jones, Kathy Hoffman, Amanda (Bill) Robertson, Gina (John) Zapatosky, Misty Jones, and sister-in-law Joyce (Ed) Patosky. Jack is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was past president of the Hollsopple Sportsman’s club a social member of the Hollsopple VFW Post 8861 and Tire Hill VFW Post 4200. He was also a member of Daisytown Sportsman, Quemahoning Rod and Gun, National Rifle Association. After 34 years he retired as an equipment operator and instructor for Penn Dot then worked as a heavy equipment instructor at GJAVTS. He loved flyfishing, tying his own flies, and hunting. Family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. Wednesday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. in Davidsville. Interment Custer Cemetery.
