Jacob Lubas, Jr. Obituary

Lubas: Jacob T. Jr, 89 of Holsopple died November 16, 2020 at home surrounded by his family who cared for him.  Born August 18, 1931 in Pittsburgh the son of Jacob T. and Mary (Jodlowska) Lubas, Sr.  Preceded in death by parents, grandson Jeremy, and these siblings Bernard, Joseph, Walerian, John, Maria Buraga, Louise Kozielec, and Helen Taylor.  Survived by wife of 43 years the former Barbara Holsopple and these children Denise Davenport, Pamela Wentz, Loran “Hoss” (Cheryll) Wentz, Debbie (Michael) Samone, Greg Wentz, and Heather Miller.  Also survived by his grandchildren Joshua, Tiara, Lydia, Quinn, and Angela (JR), and great grandchildren Hailey, Jeremy, and Lilly.  Brother of Janet Pfender.  Jake was also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Jake was a proud Korean War Veteran serving in the Air Force.  He was a life member of VFW Post 8861.  He loved socializing at the VFW, fishing, Golfing, and a good Polka.  Family will receive friends Friday from noon till 2 P.M. at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville with masks and social distancing followed by a graveside service at Custer Cemetery with Military Honors.  Family asks donations be made in Jake’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
