James William Smith

Smith: James William, 77 of Hooversville, died October 31, 2025, at Somerset Hospital.  Born November 15, 1947, in Johnstown, the son of Thomas R. and Dores Marie (Griffith) Smith.  Preceded in death by parents and infant daughter Cathy Ann Smith.  Survived by wife Mary Catherine (Gorden) Smith and these daughters Mary Catherine Smith, Lisa Marie Lent, and Barbara Ann Smith.  Also survived by his granddaughters Amanda Marie Acklin, Julie Catherine Lent, and Isabella Genevieve Lent.  He was the brother of Thomas Smith, Jr.  Jim was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church.  He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed his cars.  No viewing or service at this time at his request.  Arrangements by the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville.
