James Sullivan Obituary

Sullivan: James Edward, 87 of Hollsopple died December 6, 2021, at Somerset Hospital.  Born August 7, 1934, in Somerset the son of Homer R. and Margaret (Hoffman) Sullivan.  Preceded in death by parents and these siblings William, John R., Homer Jr., Laura, Jane, and Lillian.  Survived by wife Evelyn (Farris) Sullivan and these children Cindy married to Gary Smith, Jimmy “Sully” married to Christine Sullivan, Dale married to Christine Sullivan, John married to Edith Sullivan, and Deanne Sullivan significant other Scott Jones.  Loving grandfather of Michael, Cassondra, Cheyenne, Dale E. married to Jennifer, April, Josiah, Scarlett, Joshua, John Jr., Mariah, Isaiah, Shane, Savannah, and John III.  Also, great grandfather of Kyler, Rylan, Harper, Elijah, Jessiah, Remington, Rowen, and Isaiah.  Also survived by sister-in-law Betty Sullivan.  Jim retired from Bethlehem Steel in the Car Shop.  He was a member of House of Prayer Church in Somerset.  Jim was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He was a devoted husband who enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play football.  No viewing at his request. A memorial service will be held at a later date with Pastor Jason Upton presiding at the House of Prayer Church.  Family asks in lieu of flowers please make a donation, in memory of Jim, to House of Prayer Church 438 West Ridge Drive Somerset, PA 15501 for their building fund.  Arrangements entrusted to the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville.
