Cowan-Slippy: Janet Louise (Clossin), 88 of Hooversville died March 18, 2025, at Windber Woods. Born April 29, 1936, in Johnstown the daughter of David Clossin and Effie (Marsh) Sherbine-Clossin. Preceded in death by daughter Kathleen Connor, Daughter-In-Law Anna Cowan, husband Joseph Edward Cowan, brother Richard Clossin, and numerous half brothers and sisters. Survived by sons Ronald Edward Cowan, Daughter-In-Law Dianne Cowan and Joseph Raymond and wife Barb. Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She attended Hooversville Brethren Church. Janet was a 1956 graduate of Richland High School. She had been employed with McIllwain’s Bus Company, United Cerebral Palsy, and Child Development in Ebensburg. No viewing or services at her request. Private inurnment Richland Cemetery. Those who wish can make donations to Somerset County Humane Society.
