John L. Kravec

Kravec: John L.., 99 of Laurel View Village died March 29, 2020 at Laurel View.  Born February 2, 1921 in Johnstown the son of Stephen and Anna (Legath) Kravec.  Preceded in death by parents, wife Sara M. Kravec who passed just 12 hours before him, sisters Mary Vargo and Margaret Long, and brothers Frank, Joseph, and Stephen Kravec.  Survived by son Dennis married to Holly Kravec.  Also survived by grandchildren Kaitlyn married to Nicholas Butt, and Jason Kravec and fiancée Stephanie Zalesak, and greatgrandchildren Brody and Brynnleigh Butt.  John was a retired Steel worker for Bethlehem Steel.  He was a notable watchmaker in the Johnstown area for many years.  John was also a WWII Navy veteran who served on the USS Birmingham CL62.  No visitation.  A memorial service will be held at a later date at Laurel View Village Chapel.
