Marisa: Joseph A., 75, Davidsville, PA passed away February 27, 2017 at Windber Hospice, following a brief battle with Cancer.  His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Born September 3, 1941 in Tire Hill, PA. Proceeded in death by parents Joseph C. Marisa and Adeline (Ceschini) Weir, sisters Marie Austin and Alvena Boucher.  Survived by loving and devoted wife of 53 years Dorothy (Szewczyk) daughter Kristine Marisa and son Joseph Marisa Jr. both of Davidsville.  Grandchildren Nicole Marisa; Columbus, OH, Phillip Marisa; Johnstown, and Marisa Wagner and great grandson Evan (aka. Ralph) Davidsville.  Survived by siblings, Josephine Currie, Louise (Donald) Hubsch, Leo (Ronna) Marisa, Valeria (Andrew) Golob, Gloria Altimore, Stephen (Lana) Marisa.  Also survived by numerous special nieces and nephews.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson.  Joe lived his life with gusto, trap shooting, flying, hunting deer on his farm and elk in Colorado.  He belonged to the 5 A.M. Coffee Club at the BP, solving the world’s problems, also went to his sister Val’s for coffee, and made his daily rounds to the Hunsberger Farm.  A graduate of Conemaugh Township High School.  He retired from Carpenter’s Union, self-employed carpenter and farmer.  Life member of Conemaugh Township Fire Department.  Member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.  Family will receive friends from 2-8 P.M. Thursday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville where Vigil for the deceased will be held.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 A.M. Friday at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church Father Angelo Patti officiating.  In. lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Windber Hospice, St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, or Conemaugh Township EMS.
