Willkow: Kenneth Richard, 78 of Somerset went to be with the Lord at home on Monday December 23, 2024. Born July 16, 1946, in Meyersdale. He was the son of the late Richard E. and Helen (Landis) Willkow. Survived by wife of 29 years, Patty (Drenning/Blough) Willkow; sons Gabe (Angie) Willkow, Boswell; Josh (Linda) Willkow, Central City; Samantha Fraction, Alabama. Also survived by sisters, Marilyn (Tim) Archibald, Linglestown; Carolyn (Bill) Lambert, Friedens; Also survived by brother Dave (Trish) Willkow, Berlin. Kenneth is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and long-time friend Jay Barron. Ken was a graduate of Shanksville Stoneycreek High School. He served three years in the US Army where he suffered a concussion which caused his frontotemporal lobe dementia later in life. Ken was formerly employed by Fleetwood Folding Trailers for over 15 years where he was a “yardman” tractor driver. He also started and operated his own pallet business after work and on weekends for nine years. He was a member of the Grace Bible Fellowship. His number one passion was playing with his great grandchildren Brooks and Emree, while we were babysitting them. They were the joy of his life! Pappy will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday January 3 at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville where services will be held January 4 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Mike Faidley officiating. Internment Berkey Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Windber, PA.
