Sullivan: Larry L., Sr. 71 of Davidsville died March 12 2023 at home following a short fight of Brain Cancer. He was born September 26, 1951 in Johnstown the son of Homer J. and Betty (Huff) Sullivan. Preceded in death by father and brother Mark Sullivan. Survived by wife of 51 and 10 months the former Linda A. Ritchey Sullivan, mother Betty J. Sullivan, Sons Larry L. Jr, and Randy and wife Jenenine, and daughter Debra Smith and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by sister Connie Maldet and Sister In Law Gloria. Following graduation in 1970 from Conemaugh Township High School. The following year he was drafted to Fort Dix, NJ where he trained in Infantry and later after training in Fort Polk, Louisiana he went to Vietnam. Before being deployed to Vietnam he married Linda in June of 1971. While in Vietnam he was wounded by a booby trap. Returning from Vietnam he returned to Bethlem Steel where he was a welder. He had retired as an equipment Operator from the Pennsylvania Turnpike. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved riding his Harley Davidson where he belonged to the Alliance of Bikers Aimed towards Education “ABATE” In his early years he served his community as Fire Chief of the Hollsopple Fire Company and a short term as the Benson Boro Mayor. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6 until time of service at 8 P.M. Friday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville with Pastor Sarah Atkins officiating.
