Kaufman: Loretta Mae, 93, Carpenters Park, died Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Born December 18, 1929. Preceded in death by parents, Michael & Florence Zimmers, husband Robert, infant son, Thomas, son in law Nick Pollock, and siblings Laverne Pollak, Emma Fela, Shirley Lyberger. Survived by son Gregory Kaufman (Donna), daughter Sharron and grandchildren Robert Pollock (Ginger), Christina (Darin) Bobak, John Jacob (Kellie) & Thomas (Dana) Kaufman. Great Grandchildren Christin Weaver (Paul), Benjamin, Christian (Naomi) and Mitchell Bobak, Maxim & Katerina Kaufman, Owen, Wyatt, Lorelai & Lincoln Kaufman, Trevor & Drew Pfeil. Great-grandchildren Sean Oaks, Alexis Kemp and Cheyenne Weaver. Also survived by sister Arlene Boyle and numerous nieces and nephews. In the 1950’s, Loretta was a member of the PA Racing Team and drove in the “powder puff” division. She later worked at Whitefront Restaurant, Bestform and Riverside Market. She loved camping and spent many summers at Ponderosa Park with her husband Bob, where they always had front row seats to all of the famous country music acts that performed there in the 80’s. For the past 20 years, Loretta had a local camp where she spent every spare moment with her daughter Sherri. The friends made at camp have been wonderful to her and she considered them extended family. Affectionately known as “Gram Ret” by her many grandchildren, they were her life and she doted on them and supported them in every facet of their lives. Her quick wit and no-nonsense attitude made her an unforgettable character. The dinner table will never be the same without her unique take on life. Family will receive friends Sunday from 4 - 8 P.M. at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville where final visitation will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, committal service and interment immediately following at Maple Spring Cemetery, Jerome.
