Shaffer: Nancy Lee, 92 of Somerset Died January 3, 2025, at Somerset Health and Rehabilitation. Born February 23, 1932, in Hollsopple the daughter of William Sr. and Lydia (Yoder) Saylor. Preceded in death by parents, husband Jacob Edward Shaffer, daughter Amy J. Svonavec, and these siblings, William Jr., Beatrice Blough, James, Violet Wible, Robert, John, Betty Layton, Beulah Johns and Frank. Survived by children Jacob Edward, Jr. (Janet) Shaffer, Linda L. (Brian) Anderson, David A. (Thelma) Shaffer, George W. (Dawn) Shaffer, and Son-In-Law Ronald A. Svonavec. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Nancy is also survived by sister Roberta (Bob) Bowman, and Sister-In-Laws Betty Saylor and Leona Saylor. Nancy was a member of Berlin Alliance Church. She was active in the Somerset Historical Society and the Military Support Group of Somerset. She loved to garden and sewing. The family wishes to thank the Windber Hospice staff for all their kind care and communication. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11:30 A.M. at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville with Pastor Jim Kunes officiating. Interment Joseph Johns Cemetery. Family asks donations be made to Camp PARC P.O.
