Norma Laverne (Blough) Fisher

Norma Laverne Blough Fisher of Boswell went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 9, 2024.  Norma was 93 years old. She was born at her home in Holsopple, PA to the late Martin and Adda Blough and preceded in death by parents, brothers (Vernon and John), and sisters (Dolly Blough and Jane Moss).  Norma is survived by husband, Carl Mark Fisher of 72 years, sister Grace Sloan, brother Jim Blough, sister-in-law Arbutus Blough, son and daughter-in-law Randall and Mary Fisher, grandchildren Rod Fisher and Anna Johnson, Ryan Fisher and Casey Schreyer, son and daughter-in-law Edward Fisher and Rhonda Paugh, grandchildren Dakota Paugh and Adam Ridilla, great-grandchildren Maggie and Collin, Rayne, and Arden Ridilla, great-great-grandchild, Theodore, daughter and son-in-law Amy and Jeff Soha, grandchildren Nicole and Jared Tait, Laura and Kyle Moye, and great-grandchildren, Wesley, Eden, and Joy Tait, and Ruby and Quinn Moye.

Norma was a dedicated member of Kauffman Mennonite Church, an enthusiastic bible school teacher, youth advisor, and song leader. She was an LPN at Lee Hospital and the Church of the Brethren Home for 12 years. Later, Norma, along with her husband Carl and daughter Amy, opened up Amy’s Coffee Shop and Bakery in Davidsville, PA for 5 years. She was also a member of the Davidsville Rotary Club where she was able to focus on serving her community.

Norma enjoyed sewing and baking, tole painting, working with stained glass, singing with her husband, gardening, and traveling to new territories including Alaska and Hawaii. In their retirement years, Norma and her husband Carl spent many winters in Florida and their summers traveling across the western United States.  But above all else, Norma knew how to make you feel special and loved.  She was the ultimate hostess and loved the Lord and her family and friends with her whole heart.
