Rheda C. Sala

Sala: Rheda C. 94 of Arbutus Park Retirement Community died August 9, 2019 at the Manor.  Born January 8, 1925 in Conemaugh Township Somerset County.  Preceded in death by parents. Survived by sister Mary A. Sala.  Rheda and Mary were sisters and best friends for 90 years and shared their love of the Lord, love of life, and love of work at Mennonite Publishing House (Harold Press) in Scottdale, PA.  Rheda worked for 35 years in the Book Binding department.  They also shared their love of travel, quilting, plants, and flowers.  They shared everything including the last 22 years of life at Arbutus Park Retirement Community.  Rheda was a member of Blough Mennonite Church where she was a member of the Ladies Fellowship and Quilting Group.  She was also a member of Arbutus Quilters.  Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service 10 A.M. Wednesday at Blough Mennonite Cemetery with a Memorial Service to follow at 11 A.M. in the Church with Pastor Eric Lasure officiating.  In Lieu of flowers donations in Rheda’s name can be made to Blough Mennonite Church 724 Woodstown Highway Hollsopple, PA 15935 or Arbutus Park Manor 207 Ottawa Street Johnstown, PA 15904.
