Stephenson, Richard J (“Sten; Homey”) Born Dec. 30, 1950 in Johnstown, son of the late Ronald J and Rita L (Horne) Stephenson. Died peacefully at home - July 25, 2024
Survived by his loving wife of 43 years-Katherine (Koop) and canine companion-Teddy; siblings, David (Joan Wojnaroski), Ronda (Mike Kovalcik),and Jonathan. Also, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews to whom he was caring and very generous. Richard was a 1968 graduate of Westmont Hilltop and attended Washington & Jefferson and Penn State. He entered the Air Force in 1971, serving 4 years as an Air Rescue Medic. He worked 20 years for The Johnstown Housing Authority, retiring as an Administrative Assistant.
Rick most enjoyed fishing with his wife and hunting and golfing with family and friends. Donations at his request could be directed to T2T (Tunnels to Towers) or any Veteran affiliated charity.
Family will receive friends Tuesday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. with Funeral Services to be held Wednesday at 11 A.M. with Vicar Christy Harford officiating. Interment Maple Spring Cemetery.
