Robert R. Konieczny

Konieczny: Robert 88, of Jerome died December 20, 2024, at Richland Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Born August 17, 1936, in Jerome the son of John W. and Helen (Rachocki) Konieczny.  Preceded in death by parents, wife Betty Konieczny who died October 17, 2020, and these siblings, Helen Bieniasz, Jennie Pitchford, Kathleen “Tootie” Granistosky, John, and Eugene.  Bob is survived by his sons Todd and Eric married to Jennifer (Miller).  Loving Pap of Adah, Orly, and Maren.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law Jeanne Konieczny and many nieces and nephews and their families.  Bob was a member of the former Holy Cross Catholic Church and St. Anne Catholic Church.  Bob was a United States Army Veteran.  He was an active member of the Democratic Party.  He also belonged to the Jerome Polish Falcons and Conemaugh Township Historical Society.  Following working at US Steel he worked for the Mantini Family in many compacities enjoying working on the farm. Bob loved gardening and building his LEGO village at Christmas time.    Family will receive friends Thursday December 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville where Vigil will be held.  Funeral Mass will be Celebrated 10 A.M. Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Karl Kolodziejki Celebrant.  Committal Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. The family asks donations in Bob's memory be made to Jerome Volunteer Fire Company in his memory P.O. Box 425 Jerome PA 15937
