Ott - Ruth Eileen, 80 of Indian Lake (formerly of Hollsopple) went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2021. Born November 17, 1940 to Ralph and Agnes (Peden) Hershberger. Preceded in death by parents and brother Robert Hershberger. Survived by loving husband of 62 years, Marlin, and these children: Deb (Jim) Bambling, Mark (Sandi), Greg (Holly) and Jeff (Monika). Also survived by grandchildren: Megan (Johnny) Bayush, Rebekah (Jon) Brewer, Tracy (Chris) Collins, Katie (Mark) Bedrin, Ryan (Alyson) Bambling, Mitchell (Danielle) Ott, Riley (Justin) Davis, Tyler (Kate) Ott, Mallory (Ryan) Romano, Jared Ott, Abigail Ott and Victoria Ott and Great Grandchildren: Anthony, Mackenzie, Jackson, Henry, Brayden, Beckett, Ella, Patrick, Gracy, Hudson, Nora, Willow, Marina and Emerson. Brother Paul (Lila) Hershberger, sisters Donna (Jack) Thomas and Judy (Bob) Miller, sister in law Naomi Hershberger, brother in law Rodney (Deb) Ott, sister in law Judy (Mike) Spratt, and many nieces and nephews.
Marlin and Ruth were owners of Smith Plumbing & Heating for 18 years. Graduate of Conemaugh Township HS, member of Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, Builders for Christ Sunday School Class, and Women’s Fellowship. Ruth enjoyed camping, boating, square dancing, swimming at the YMCA, and hosting friends and family at the lake. Ruth was known for her delicious cooking. She had a servant’s heart and volunteered with her church, Camp Harmony, and her community up until the very end of her life. Celebration of Life Party will be held later this summer.
