Ruth Virginia (Thomas) Yoder

Yoder; Ruth Virginia, 90 of Davidsville passed away peacefully January 1, 2025, at Laurel View Village.  Ruth was born March 3, 1934 in Hollsopple and the daughter of Glenn and Reita (Saylor) Thomas, Sr.  Preceded in death by parents, husband Glenn Yoder, Jr who died July 4th, 2023, brother Robert Thomas (Donna) sister Brenda Thomas, Reda Thomas, wife of her brother Glenn and infant son  Timothy.  Survived by children Terry L. Yoder married to Robin (Kolesar) Yoder, Thomas L. married to Janet (Gibson) Yoder and Chris Yoder. Brother Glenn Thomas Jr. and sister in law Donna Thomas.   Loving grandmother of Lyndsay married to Joseph Delozier, Jenna Kroner, Arielle Yoder and Zachary Yoder. Also, a loving and proud great grandmother to her great grandchildren Aria and Austin Króner and their father Scott Króner.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Ruth was a life long member of Blough Mennonite Church and attended Kaufman Mennonite Church and loved singing in the choir.  Ruth was a Social Worker for Somerset County for many years.  Following retirement, she worked at Laurel View Village in the Activities Department. She and Glenn loved the Gaither’s  Gospel Music.  Most of all she enjoyed all the family gatherings, baking desserts and making beautiful ceramic pieces- shared with family.  At Ruth’s request, there will be no viewing. A graveside service will be held at Blough Mennonite Cemetery at a later date.
