Wanda M. Saltys (Drzal)

A loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.  She was a resident of Laurel View Village since 2003.

 

Born December 16, 1927 to Joseph and Catherine Drzal in Johnstown, PA.   She married John F. Saltys (Soda) on May 7, 1947 and had three sons:  Ronald (deceased), Dennis and James.  Wanda spent her lifetime caring for her family and is especially known for her preparation of homecooked traditional Polish meals and desserts.  In addition to cooking at home, Wanda worked for several years in the kitchen of Goucher Street Elementary School.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, son - Ronald, husband - John, sisters: Helen, Jenny and Virginia and brothers: John, Frank and Joseph.

 

Survived by sons:  Dennis (Cindy Vranizan), Seattle, WA and James (Susan Marlowe), Fuquay Varina, NC; Granddaughters:  Alison Clarke and Amanda Allen; Great Grandchildren: Austin, Evelyn and Mackenzie; Sister-in-Law: Ann Drzal and nieces and nephews.

 

The family wishes to thank the staff at Laurel View Villages for their wonderful care of Wanda over the years.
