Wayne Wiley, age 78, of Hollsopple, passed away peacefully at home on September 7th. Wayne was born to Webster and Rosella (Swauger) on September 18th, 1945, in Carpenters Park. After graduating from Conemaugh Township High School in 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served as a Paratrooper and attained the rank of Sergeant. Wayne met and married his wife, Grace (Raymore), in 1970. He retired from Conemaugh Blacklick Railroad where he worked as a Trackman and Welder. Wayne enjoyed hunting with his son and telling stories of their adventures in the woods. In his younger years, he enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with his wife and tending to his hobby farm. Wayne will be remembered for his value of hard work and doing whatever it took to provide for his family. He loved cookouts on holidays and being with the people he loved. Becoming a grandfather was one of the greatest joys of his life. He attended his grandchildren’s sporting events and taught them to take risks and learn new things. He loved sharing riddles and there was usually candy and ice cream before dinner when Papap was around. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Harold, Ray, Ruth, Mary, Jayne, Shirl and Paul. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Grace. Daughters Kimberly (Kris), Summerfield, NC, Heather Mariscal, Apex, NC, and son, Wayne Wiley (Liz.) Grandchildren Jacob, Sarah, Jenna and Luke Scheponik. Lexie (Henry) Deabenderfer, Tori, Kassie, Katie and Wayne Jr. Wiley. Logan, Dylan and Austin Mariscal. Great-granddaughter Haisley Troxell. Cherished brothers Charles and Terry. Wayne will be tremendously missed by all who loved him. Visitation will be at George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville On Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. with funeral services on Wednesday at 10 A.M. with Pastor Streets officiating. Interment Maple Spring Cemetery.
