William Drenner, Sr. Obituary

Drenner: William V. Sr, 78 of Hollsopple died December 26, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital.  Born August 24, 1942 in Hollsopple the son of C. William and Annabelle (Holsopple) Drenner.  Preceded in death by parents.  Survived by wife of 58 years the former Patricia Sherbine and these children Cynthia and husband William J. Sullivan III and William V. Drenner Jr. and wife Cherie.  Also survived by grandchildren William J. Sullivan IV, Carrie Sullivan, Kyle and wife Alivia and their son Parker who will arrive in April, and Dylan and fiancée Kaitlyn.  Brother of Larry and wife Sharon.  Member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Hollsopple.  He was an Air Force Veteran serving in Vietnam from 1960 to 1968.  Bill was a retired State Police Trooper from August 1968 to March 1992 and was an instructor at the PA State Police Camp Cadet.  He was a life member of American Legion Post 802 where he served as Commander for several years.  Bill was also a member of FOP (National) Frank J. Kelly #602, the Jerome Sportsman’s Association.  He was a former member of the Legion Rider’s chapter 849.  He was an avid fisherman and loved hunting with his son and grandsons.  Private visitation for immediate family with interment Custer Cemetery.  The family asks please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758516 Topeka, KS 66675-8516.  The family is being served by the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville.
