William R. Thomas

Thomas: William R., 94 of Boswell died August 20, 2022, in Somerset.  Born September 30, 1927, in Hollsopple the son of David E. and Nellie (Clark) Thomas.  Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Shirley F. Spory who died September 14, 2012, son James Thomas, sisters Margaret Block, and Evelyn Miller, Son-in-law Thomas, and daughter-in-law Bonnie Spory.  Survived by children Dale Spory and wife Joann, Walter Thomas and wife Melissa, Shirley Paruch, Gloria Carnill, and Kenneth Thomas.  Also survived by 13 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.  Bill is also survived by good friend Paul Angert.  He was a member of Centennial United Methodist Church.  He retired from Bethlehem Steel.  Bill was a member of Ferndale Sportsman’s Club and Jenner’s Rod and Gun Club. He was also a United States Navy Veteran and was a member of the Boswell American Legion.  He enjoyed being with his friends and family.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 Friday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville where funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday with Pastor David Bowman officiating.  Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
